RapidFLEX Service Creation Environment
The RapidFLEX Service Creation Environment (SCE) is a Windows-based, graphical application development environment that allows developers to quickly and easily design or modify IP enhanced services for converged TDM/IP and pure VoIP networks.
The RapidFLEX SCE enables fine-grain
control of SIP signaling and control over database,
web and IP media server resources. This gives developers
the power to create sophisticated enhanced servicesrapidly
and cost effectively.
Applications built with the RapidFLEX SCE are translated automatically into XTML (eXtensible Telephony Markup Language), an XML-based service description language developed by Pactolus. These XTML-based applications run on the Pactolus RapidFLEX Application Server.
RapidFLEX Service Creation Environment advantages include:
Graphical Call Flow Representation Developers quickly and easily build applications using drag-and-drop Plug-in Action Components (PACs) to enable various built-in operations, linking them in a visual flow-chart style representation to construct the call flow.
Event Handlers for Asynchronous Call Events A comprehensive set of built-in event handlers can be specified as call flow functions to trigger logic at any point during a call. Event handlers simplify the overall design of call flows by eliminating embedded conditional logic.
SIP and MGCP Support A comprehensive set of SIP and MGCP commands is supported as PAC and event handler operations. This allows developers to create complex call flow interactions with third-party softswitches and media gateways.
Built-in
Programming and Installation Tools Includes
a JavaScript editor that can be invoked from any PAC
and an integrated XML parser for checking SCE XML output.
Extensible Functionality Developers can add C, C++, or Java code to incorporate their own programming logic into a call flow. Using the optional RapidFLEX SCE Software Development Kit (SDK), C++ developers can create custom PACs and event handlers to extend SCE capabilities.
Facilities to Provision XTML Applications Developers can upload application files via FTP from the SCE to a RapidFLEX Application Server or to any Web server. Applications loaded on a Web server can be subsequently loaded to a RapidFLEX Application Server using HTTP.
