PACTOLUS AND COMMON VOICES JOIN FORCES TO DELIVER SIP-BASED VoiceXML VOICE MAIL AND UNIFIED MESSAGING
Common Voices integrates Pactolus SIP stack and software-only media server components; Pactolus expands upon proven multi-service application offerings to include Common Voices Voice Mail and Unified Messaging
Westborough, Mass. and Cambridge, Mass., June 2, 2003 -
Pactolus Communications Software Corporation, a leading provider of SIP-based enhanced service solutions and Common Voices, LLC, a leading provider of carrier-grade VoiceXML-based telecommunications software and professional services, announced today a collaborative business and technology partnership to license both application and platform level software components to each other. This enables the two companies to bring voice mail and unified messaging applications to carriers who are deploying either converged network infrastructure or line-side VOIP-based network capabilities. With this powerful combined solution, carriers will be able to replace or augment aging TDM-based voice mail platforms that are costly to maintain, or provide new voice mail services to packet telephony networks using broadband connected IP Centrex/PBX network elements or VOIP phone adapter technology.
