PACTOLUS DRIVES TELIUVO PREPAID AND POSTPAID CALLING SERVICES
Subsidiary of Canada’s Pathway Communications Simplifies Services Wholesaling, Drives New Global Calling Economics With Pactolus.
Westborough, MA - May 31, 2007 -
Pactolus Communications Software Corporation, makers of the industry’s most broadly-deployed SIP applications and service creation/delivery solutions, today announced its selection and deployment by Teliuvo, a division of Pathway Communications, one of Canada’s largest privately-held Internet and telephony services companies. Teliuvo is now deploying Pactolus’ Prepaid and Postpaid SIPware Services to drive its wholesale and retail calling services, which offer both exceptionally compelling global calling economics and premium voice quality.
Pactolus SIPware services fully support Teliuvo’s dual direct/wholesale business model, with advanced service partitioning and flexible configuration that lets Teliuvo’s retail service providers individually tailor their service products to their specific business models and subscriber markets. SIPware also drives Teliuvo’s direct retail services, branded as Pathway Communications’ popular SmartReach prepaid and postpaid service offerings. SmartReach lets prepaid subscribers use either card-based or ANI-based services to economically make global long distance calls from any wireless or landline phone. Moreover, SmartReach lets ANI-based subscribers avoid complex PIN codes and authentication processes. SmartReach is gaining an increasing share of the country’s $350 million pre-paid long-distance market.
Ovi Biris, Teliuvo Vice President and General Manager, notes: “We evaluated an array of leading IP voice service platforms and applications, and Pactolus quickly emerged as the best solution for several reasons, including its market-proven scale, ease of configuration, and especially its ability to easily support our wholesale and retail businesses. Pactolus is a strategic partner in our ongoing growth.”
Pactolus has emerged as the IP voice services suite of choice for prepaid service providers world-wide. Its RapidFLEX Service Creation Environment, RapidFLEX Service Delivery Platform and SIPware Prepaid service application incorporate the industry’s most comprehensive capabilities, such as real time billing, calling card support, web-based subscriber self-provisioning, extensive language support, customizable language interfaces and integrated multi-language/multi-currency support.
Pactolus CEO Paul Blondin concludes: “We’re honored to be deployed by one of the Canadian market’s most established retail and wholesale service providers. Our selection by Teliuvo reaffirms our leadership in this strategic market, as providers of the IP service application engine now supporting more than 80% of Canada’s prepaid traffic.”
