Saudi Arabia's Rawabi Telecom Selects Pactolus Communications

Next-Gen Service Provider RTS and Integrator Verscom Transforming The Gulf States IP Services Landscape.

Marlborough, Mass. - August 15, 2006 -

Pactolus Communications Software Corporation, developers of the most comprehensive IP voice service suite and service delivery environment for telecom service providers, today announced the selection of its SIPware Services and RapidFLEX Service Creation Environment by Rawabi Telecom and Software (RTS), a subsidiary of Rawabi Holding Company, one of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's largest and fastest-growing companies. RTS will offer a range of IP services including Voice over Broadband Telephony, IP Conferencing and Prepaid Calling to customers throughout the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait via its growing network of service provider partners.

"RTS is committed to supporting the growth of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the GCC countries and the greater MENA region," notes Rawabi Telecom & Software's Chief Operating Officer, Maro Simatovic. "We're driven to provide differentiating services that uniquely serve this fast-growing region, and we will fully leverage Rawabi Holding Company's brand power and efficient customer acquisition and communications channels."

RTS is developing an advanced services infrastructure to support the economical delivery of integrated landline, internet, television, and mobile services bundles, and provide consumers with new value, simplicity and choice. RTS is honing these service offerings through a detailed analysis of subscriber service preferences, and is working with partners to realize next-gen services opportunities as the region's telecom industry undergoes deregulation.

Verscom, a leading telecommunications systems integrator throughout the European, Middle Eastern and African markets, is lead integrator for RTS. Verscom is deploying Pactolus' SIPware IP voice services suite and using the RapidFLEX Service Creation Environment to build broadband voice, prepaid and conferencing services.

"We've selected Pactolus as the exclusive IP voice services software vendor for the performance, scale and reliability of its SIPware suite, and for the extreme ease, flexibility and power of its Service Creation Environment," comments Verscom CTO Ali Argun. "IMS is key to our ongoing growth strategies, and Pactolus enables RTS to expand its IP services reach."

Pactolus CEO Paul Blondin concludes: "The Middle East is a strategic, innovative and rapidly growing telecom market. We are honored to have been selected by Rawabi and Verscom, and are committed to partnering with them to drive advanced, innovative services."
