PRIMUS CANADA DEPLOYS PACTOLUS SIP-BASED VOICE SERVICES
Post Paid and Prepaid Calling Card Services Expand Service Offerings of Canada's Largest Alternative Communications Carrier

Pactolus Communications Software Corporation, a leading provider of SIP-based voice services, today announced that Primus Telecommunications Canada Inc. (Primus Canada), a wholly-owned subsidiary of McLean, Virginia-based Primus Telecommunications Group, Incorporated (Nasdaq: PRTL), has deployed Pactolus SIPware Post Paid and Prepaid Calling Card services in its extensive Canadian converged network. These service offerings provide TDM-based consumer and business subscribers with prepaid and post paid long distance calling capabilities through the Telica® PlexusT 9000 media gateway and softswitch.

Pactolus utilizes SIP, the emerging standard for IP voice services, to deliver IP-based solutions that allow telecommunications carriers and service providers to drive down the cost and accelerate time-to-market of high-value services.
