PACTOLUS CALLCOMPLETE RECEIVES INTERNET TELEPHONY MAGAZINE "PRODUCT OF THE YEAR" AWARD FOR 2005
CallComplete Honored for Providing the Industry's First SIP-based Application Server Call Session Recovery
Marlborough, Mass., February 8, 2006 -
Pactolus Communications Software Corporation, developers of the most comprehensive IP voice services suite and service delivery environment for telecom service providers, today announced that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC®)'s INTERNET TELEPHONY® magazine (www.itmag.com) has named Pactolus' CallComplete™, its patent-pending high availability software, as a recipient of a 2005 Product of the Year Award.
CallComplete transparently maintains calls in progress initiated by subscribers in the event of an inadvertent failure of an Application Server that causes it to go offline. CallComplete maintains a back-up of the RapidFLEX™ Application Server's call state information in real-time using 1:1 server redundancy. Customers have the choice of deploying either CallComplete in their initial deployment or as needs warrant as an upgrade to standard RapidFLEX N+1 redundancy and failover mechanisms. CallComplete does not require any special application coding and supports all Pactolus SIPware™ Services, as well as all applications developed by customers using the RapidFLEX Service Creation Environment. CallComplete can also be deployed alongside Pactolus' recently-introduced InService™ multi-site high availability software.
CallComplete addresses the call state vulnerabilities of SIP-based voice services, which frequently drive established carriers to sharply limit the scope, scale and features of IP-based voice service offerings. In audio conferencing, for example, CallComplete allows the conference to continue without subscriber intervention in the event of an Application Server failure. This eliminates the need for conference call participants to call back in to resume the conference.
"Pactolus has emerged as a true carrier IP services leader, and with CallComplete, its highly-customizable SIPware suite sets new industry benchmarks for Telco-grade resiliency and availability," said Rich Tehrani, Group Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of INTERNET TELEPHONY. "Each year INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine bestows its Product of the Year awards on companies that have demonstrated excellence in technological advancement and application refinements. Pactolus has demonstrated to the editors of INTERNET TELEPHONY that its products and services are committed to quality and innovation while addressing the real needs in the marketplace."
"We are honored to receive the 2005 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year Award," said Ken Osowski, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at Pactolus. "CallComplete results from our efforts to achieve the highest possible availability of our solutions in our largest commercial deployments."
