PACTOLUS EXPANDS SENIOR MANAGEMENT TEAM

Jeff Gibson Named Vice President of Engineering; Kenneth Osowski Appointed Vice President of Marketing & Product Management

WESTFORD, Mass., March 19, 2001 -

Pactolus Communications Software, a leading provider of XML-based enhanced service solutions for SIP-enabled networks announced the addition of two industry veterans. The company has named Jeff Gibson as vice president of engineering, and Kenneth Osowski as vice president of marketing & product management.

Jeff Gibson brings highly relevant software architecture design, enhanced services domain expertise, and large carrier experience to Pactolus. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Gibson was director of software development at SEMA Telecomms/Priority Call in Wilmington, MA. At Priority Call, Mr. Gibson was responsible for the development of new database and platform architectures on multiple operating systems in support of a full line of enhanced services products including prepaid wireless, one number, prepaid calling card, unified communications and call routing. Prior to this, Mr. Gibson was director of architecture at Glenayre Electronics Corporation/ODC in Norwood MA. At ODC, he was responsible for development of a new enhanced services platform architecture including a full Service Creation Environment and monitoring toolset. Before ODC, Mr. Gibson was manager of architecture for AT&T Wireless Services of Seattle. Mr. Gibson holds a M.S. in Physics from The University of Waterloo in Canada.

Kenneth Osowski, who brings extensive marketing experience from the telecommunications and computer industries, will be responsible for the company's marketing, marketing communications, and product management organizations. Osowski's most recent experience in the enhanced services market was at IPeria, Inc. where he was vice president of marketing and business development. As one of IPeria's first employees, Osowski was responsible for developing the company's business plan, market entry strategy, and product positioning. Before joining IPeria, Osowski was regional director at Boston Technology, Inc. (now part of Comverse Network Systems) where he was responsible for sales to CLEC, RBOC, and large institutional customers. Prior to this sales position, in a senior product management role at Boston Technology, he managed the successful introduction of the company's CO ACCESS 500/600, Access NP platform, and AccessMAX Service Creation Environment. Osowski holds a B.S. degree in Physics from Franklin & Marshall College and an M.S. degree in Computer Science from Columbia University.
